Hospitality

Hospitality provides many features like split transaction, confirm transaction screen for amount, setting of Preset number, remote table closure etc. All these features are configurable.

  • EVT Host: This value indicates the IP address of EVT server where it connects to Hospitality server. (It represents local host)

  • EVT Port: This value indicates the port of EVT server where it communicates with the Hospitality server for processing requests. (Recommended value - 9000)

  • Allow Custom Split Transaction: Cardholder asked to split the total bill amount and to confirm the amount in situations where some wish to pay more or less than others. Configurable only with V240 from default instance.

  • Allow Equal Split Transaction: Cardholder asked to equally split the total bill amount. Configurable only with V240 from default instance.

  • Show Confirm Transaction Screen: Get an additional screen on the PED to confirm the total sale amount. Configurable with V240 and P400 both.

  • Remote Table Closure: If enabled, then Hospitality application sends closed tables (table ready for payment) in response of polling request to POS and waits for 30 seconds to receive payment request. This functionality helps merchants to close order automatically. Also PED display option Close table in 'More option' menu for closing orders explicitly.

On selecting Close table on PED, a new screen appears asking the user to enter the table number they want to close. The hospitality application sends table number entered from PED (table ready for payment) in response of polling request to POS. Once EPOS receives the closed table number, a payment request for that table has to be sent.

Configurable only with V240 from default instance.

  • Cash At Table: Applies to all instances and once enabled you can accept cash payments. This option works with the default sale request. A screen will appear with options CARD/CASH and on selecting CASH application ask to ENTER CASH AMOUNT on PED to proceed further in transaction. Cash amount must be greater than or equal to sale amount. Configurable only with V240 from default instance.

  • PreSet Value Flag: Adds the Preset transaction List option to the bottom of Hospitality Home Screen. List of transactions show all table names starting with the value configured in 'Preset value' textbox. Configurable only with V240.

    Example: If PreSet Value 'Garden1' is set then all the transactions starting with 'Garden1' displays on PED when Preset transaction List is selected and in the transaction list, numbers after the Preset value is displayed by application.

    Note: 'Get Transaction List' and 'Preset Transaction List' display 20 tables ready for payment at a time.

  • PreSet Value: Used to set any Preset value by which transaction list needs to be filtered. Table number should always be different from preset value. Maximum 10 characters are allowed in PreSet value. Configurable only with V240.

  • Enable Waiter ID: This checkbox is used to configure 'Identify waiter ID from PED' functionality in hospitality application. To enable this feature check ‘Enable Waiter ID’ checkbox at Default instance. Configurable only with V240 from default instance.

  • Apply Waiter ID for all instances: This checkbox is used to configure 'Identify waiter ID from PED' functionality for all instances. Check/uncheck ‘Apply Waiter ID for all Instances’ checkbox at Default instance to enable/disable this feature at application level. Configurable only with V240.

  • Waiter ID: This checkbox is used to configure 'Identify waiter ID from PED' functionality for particular instance. Check/uncheck ‘Waiter ID’ checkbox at specific instance to enable/disable this feature for particular instance. Configurable only with V240.

  • Delete Transaction from list after (10-60): Used to configure the time transaction requests can be present in the hospitality queue. After the time has elapsed transaction requests with status 'PENDING', 'COMPLETE' and 'CANCELLED' are deleted from the hospitality queue.

    Minimum time is 10 minutes and Maximum is 60 minutes. Configurable only with V240.

  • EPOS Receipt: Allows you to print your own receipt and sent to Hospitality by the File mode / Socket mode. A EPOS Receipt option displays in the menu, allowing you to print your receipt. Maximum 32 characters are allowed each line. Configurable only with V240.

    • File Path: You can provide the specified location where the application can read the file to print receipt data.

Note: File name should start with ‘EPOS’ and ends with ‘.txt’.

  • Socket Port: You can provide the receipt data to the specified port, the application reads the data from that port and print it.
