This guide is for partners, resellers and merchants.
It describes how to implement and integrate the Integrated WPT Hospitality application into your environment in a PCI DSS compliant manner. The software should facilitate and support merchant’s PCI DSS compliance.
For more detailed information about PCI compliance, see the PCI Security Standards Council website,
Hospitality is a Java based application that manages the flow-control of magnetic and smart card EMV Chip and PIN transactions by interacting with the EPOS Application over a sockets or a file interface.
The interface provides the User Interface for EFT processing so the main EPOS application does not need to be EFT intelligent, simply initiating EFT transactions and printing the completed receipts. All EFT processing events and screens and data entry are performed using PED itself.
The Hospitality application provides an easy way pay at table and pay at counter solution for the hospitality industry. The Hospitality integration is slightly different from the standard IPC retail as there is an extra element called tab number, table number, or target reference. Unlike the retail environment, hospitality transactions can be queued up by the EPOS application and transactions can be called on the terminal using the target reference.
Hospitality also provides functionality like split payments and pay gratuity (tip).
The Worldpay Total Hospitality software manages the processing of the EFT transaction. The Worldpay Total Hospitality components are the EVT Interface (manages interactions with the EPOS application) and the kernel module (manages interactions with the PED and the Worldpay Total services). See
