IPC Upgrade Rollback

The IPC upgrade feature includes functionality to back up and restore the previous version in case something goes wrong.

When the upgrade process runs, it backs up all the important files and moves them into the backup folder. If necessary, you can restore the previous version. This involves copying and pasting files into C:\YESEFT. You also need to modify the version.txt file which the system creates when it does an upgrade.

To downgrade back to the previous version, do the following:

  1. Copy all the files and directories from the backup folder and paste them into the C:\YESEFT to replace the existing files.

  2. Once the files/directories are successfully restored, run YESEFTConfig.bat to create the correct version.txt of YESEFTConfig.bat.

  3. To initialise the application, execute StartPOSServer.bat.

Automatic or manual rollback

Automated rollback exists from version 2.3.2 onwards.

You must do a manual rollback from version 2.3.2 or below.

Note Automatic Rollback is only available when upgrading from 2.3.2 to a higher version as the capability has been added in v2.3.2.
