Time Outs

IPC may wait for confirmation/response at different stages of the transaction. This tab provides the facility to configure the timeout for each confirmation requested either on GUI or IntraMessage port.

YesEFt Configurations - TimeOuts

  • Accept/Reject signature timeout: The time the IPC will wait at the signature verification prompt. If no action is performed with the GUI or the IntraMessage port within the timeout period then the transaction will be rejected.

The default value is 180 and can be between 30 to 900.

  • Voice authorization prompt timeout: The time the IPC will wait at the voice authorisation prompt. If no action is performed with the GUI or the IntraMessage port then the transaction will be aborted and a receipt stating ‘Transaction Cancelled’ will be issued.

If an invalid authorisation is entered the IPC will send an error message and ask for a valid authorisation code twice more. If a valid authorisation code is not entered then the transaction will be cancelled.

The default value is 600 and can be between 30 to 1800.

  • Cashback prompt timeout: The time the IPC will wait at the cashback prompt. If no action is performed with the GUI or the IntraMessage port then the transaction will be processed with the original amount.

If an invalid amount is entered, then the IPC will send an error message and ask for a valid amount twice more. If a valid amount is not entered the transaction will be processed with the original amount.

The default value is 180 and can be between 30 to 900.

  • CNP AVS details timeout: The time the IPC will wait at the CNP AVS details prompt. the IPC will prompt/send the request based on the AVS configuration in the AVS configuration tab. If no action is performed with the GUI or through the IntraMessage port then the transaction will be cancelled.

If invalid details are entered, then theIPC will send an error message and ask for valid details twice more. If valid details are not entered then the transaction will be cancelled.

The default value for this timeout is 180 and can be between 30 to 900.

  • CNP accept AVS response timeout: The time the IPC will wait at the AVS details confirmation prompt. If no action is performed with the GUI or through the IntraMessage port then the transaction will be rejected.

The default value is 180 and can be between 30 to 900.

  • Fallback allowed timeout: The time the IPC will wait at the fallback confirmation prompt. If no action is performed with the GUI or through the IntraMessage port then the transaction will be rejected.

The default value is 180 and it can be between 30 to 900.

Note: For all timeouts, the timeout will be refreshed every time the prompt is sent. For example, if the CNP AVS timeout is configured to 180, and AVS details are requested by the IPC, and the you respond with an invalid value after 150, then the IPC will re-prompt for CNP AVS details and wait a full 180 for response.
